Green School

Green Schools is an international environmental education programme, designed to promote and acknowledge whole school action for the environment. Green-Schools offers a well-defined way to take environmental issues from the curriculum and apply them to the day to day running of a school. This process helps students to recognise the importance of environmental issues and take them more seriously in their personal and home lives.  St. Ronan’s N.S. is delighted to be a member of the Green Schools Initiative and have so far been awarded seven Green Flags for Litter & Waste, Energy, Water, Travel, Biodiversity, Global Citizenship Litter & Waste and Global Citizenship Energy. You can see our green flag flying high at the school entrance.
