Rare creature spotted in Cloonloo N.S.
27th May 2025
One of the country's most elusive wild creatures - the Smooth Newt - was spotted in the school yard this morning by Frank - the driver from Carambola who brings us our lunches every day. Thanks Frank for taking the pictures and letting us know about this. The Smooth Newt is one of just three amphibians native to Ireland. Along with our very healthy frog population this is evidence that our Wildlife Garden is attracting plenty of Wildlife which is great to see.
